One Year Certificate
Office Information Systems
prepares the student with the skills for an entry level administrative
assistant position. The knowledge of electronic communications will provide
the student with the office technology needed in the workplace. In addition,
the student will develop the skills of human relations needed to interact
with managers and other professionals as a team member.
West Shore offers a One-Year Certificate in Office
Information Systems and an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences in Office
Information Systems.

In order to receive a degree/certificate in this program, students must
take the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute's Job Ready
Occupational Competency Test.
This program is intended to prepare students
for employment, and therefore has not been designed to transfer to senior
institutions. Some of the courses, however, may be transferable. For clarification,
see a WSCC advisor.
